On January 28, 2007, following the public 1.80 release, a second trailer was released.This trailer shows a number of the new maps on which players will be able to fight. On December 10, 2006, a trailer of the mod was posted on YouTube.The anticipated public release for the final version of the Conversion Pack is early September 2008. The final public 2.0 build has one remaining hurdle, a final beta bugcheck to be done by members of the Gametoast community. A public beta build was released at version 1.75.īuilds 1.81 - Present: Once the means to support more eras than the game's original two was developed, work began on the third (Old Republic) era by Gametoast member Maveritchell. Through the combined work of Gametoast members and coders Teancum and Zerted, more modes of play were added and a push to further develop the game's interface was made.
Teancum collaborated with representatives of the TAW clan to create an addon that included fan favorite maps such as Bespin: Platforms and Rhen Var: Harbor.īuilds 1.2 - 1.75: After the earliest builds original maps (from neither Battlefront 1 or 2) were added, and content was added that allowed for more unit choices on all the maps. The third era allows for battles between the Sith Empire and the Old Republic on every original game map as well as any new maps added in the pack.īuilds 1.0 - 1.2: The Pack was originally designed as a simple map addon (a "mappack") to Battlefront 2, with the intent of restoring content cut from the original Star Wars Battlefront in the transition to the newer game.
A third era has also been added the Old Republic era (representing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.). The two original eras, Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War, have new hero units as well as variation in the appearance of clone legions.

In addition to the new locations, the Pack features an increased choice in gamemodes for the original and new locations as well as a number of new gamemodes for Battlefront 2.
